District Dispatch or appropriate party should contact 911. 

Superintendent or Transportation Director to go to site of accident. Ensure safety of all students and staff. 

Do not hesitate to send injured students/staff to ER if required 

Organize another bus to pick up students on the bus 

Make a plan to collect witness statements if necessary 

Contact all parents for students on the bus 

Ensure that drug testing occurs for driver 

Create communication for the district 

Assemble the Crisis Team to prepare and plan if necessary–RE Major accident and possible trauma 

Contact BOE with updates and outcomes 

Debrief with appropriate parties 

Contact BOE with updates and outcomes
